Our Story
Since 2015, Dr. Adele Burgess has led Heidelberg Surgical, establishing a strong foundation of comprehensive care for our patients. Dr. Katy Melrose joined soon after, expanding our specialised services to better meet patient needs, and in 2018, Dr. David Proud joined the team, bringing further expertise.
With each addition, our clinic has grown, offering a wider range of advanced care to our community. Together, they provide exceptional patient care and surgical expertise, always with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Juzill has been an integral part of Heidelberg Surgical for seven years, moving from reception to Practice Manager in 2021. With a wealth of experience in pathology and hospital finance, she brings valuable expertise to the team. Administration Assistant
With over 20 years of experience in medical administration, Melissa brings extensive expertise from her work in pathology, radiology, and oncology. She is dedicated to making patients feel welcome and supported, always ready to assist with any needs throughout their visit.

Practice Nurse
Brooke has been a valued member of our team for six years, joining us from Austin Health, where she worked as an anaesthetic nurse. Passionate about delivering meticulous, patient-centred care, Brooke thrives on building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them through their health journeys. She finds great fulfilment in being part of a dedicated team that makes a positive impact in people’s lives every day.
